With something that you have to do in life， you will find what you do is worthwhile and rewarding， and your life itself is worth living。

If there were nothing for you to devote your time to， you would find yourself rather bored， and you would always be caught wandering idly or aimlessly。

Therefore， it is always better to do / be something than nothing。

After all， the way we practice science ideally relies on its philosophy。 Maybe I’m splitting hairs here， but I’d call Karl Popper a scientific philosopher， a critical one， but it’s a role philosophy playsFirst， we would only even consider this an interesting question if there were some reasonable argument in favor of nothingness over existence。

Perhaps that’s not the point of philosophy

其實呢， 兩個句子都沒有錯。

就書面語來講 後者相對準確一些

口語的話， 兩個都沒什麼問題

類似於 did you go there ？ 和you went there ？
