1、紅藍叉尾鬥魚（中國鬥魚、天堂魚、唐金皮、絲線拖、旁皮閃）Macropodus opercularis（L。）， 1758 - 廣佈於華南（包括香港）、臺灣、越南，一般稱之為普叉。

2、圓尾鬥魚（中國鬥魚）Macropodus ocellatus Cantor， 1842 - 分佈於華北（上海及長江以北省區）。

3、越南黑叉尾鬥魚（越黑）Macropodus spechti Schreitmuller， 1936 - 分佈於越南、廣西壯族自治區邊境。

4、香港黑叉尾鬥魚（HK）Macropodus hongkongensis Freyhof & Herder， 2002 - 分佈於香港、福建、廣東省、廣西東部。
