一、 比較性結構
主要是把兩個人或事物的功能、特點、優缺點進行對比
2016年北京卷
_______ For the risk-seekers a part of the brain related to pleasure becomes active ， while for the rest of us ， a part of the brain related to fear becomes active。
G。 New brain research suggests our brains work differently when we face a nervous situation。
答案解析：空格後一句提及pleasure 和fear ， 是從正反兩方面進行對比，對應G項中的differently ， 符合語意。因此選 G項。
2016 四川卷
Some think that a woman’s body cells have a tendency to age more slowly than a man’s ， other think that a man’s body cells have a tendency to age more qulckly。________。
E。 Recent research seems to support both of these possibities 。
答案解析： 空格前講述了科學家們的兩種不同觀點，E項中的” boh of these possibilites ”指的就是這兩種不同的觀點。因此選E項。
二．原因性結構
主要分析事物的原因。
2016（全國卷III）
Any fishy or srong smell means the fish isn’t fresh 。 _______。
A。 Do not buy it
答案解析：空格前提到“濃烈的氣味說明魚已經不新鮮”，故不能買這種魚。空格是對上句的一個總結，根據因果關係。因此選A選項。
2014 （全國卷II ）
The jobs of the future have not yet been invented 。______ 。By helping them develop classic skills that will serve them well no matter what the future holds 。
D。 So how can we help our kids prepare for jobs that don’t yet exist？
答案解析： 根據空格前 the jobs of the future have not yet been invented 未來的工作還沒發明出來，所以我們也不知道他們究竟是什麼樣子，更談不上讓我們的孩子 為之作好的準備。後面的選項中的so 表結果，符合語境。因此選擇D項。
